Power Talk Five conference is being held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, 1:00pm-8:00pm at the Thurgood Marshall Center, 1816 12th Street NW in Washington, DC.
The Power Talk Lecture Series is one day symposium featuring gifted speakers and scholars who come together and address the future of the black community and our cultural concerns.
This year’s honoree is Dr. Jim Clingman. He will receive the Dr. Frances Cress Welsing Freedom Fighter Award. Past recipients have been Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, Dr. Claud Anderson, and Baba Dick Gregory. This year’s theme: Health and Education to Empower the Black Community.
